#InvestBLK is leading the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) work for Philadelphia250, which is the lead organizer for the 250th commemoration of the United States. This is complex work and #InvestBLK is challenged with engaging communities that have diverse understandings and realities within America about what a commemoration of this country should be in 2026.
Founder, Dennis Maurice Dumpson, is leading consulting with The Nonprofit Center and is routinely hired to support with diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and fund development support. In addition, Dennis (along with Tina Barber and Jennifer Shropshire) created La Salle’s Spring 2022 course, Abolition, Reform, and Expansion of Philanthropy, which he is a lead instructor.
Founder, Dennis Maurice Dumpson is leading the racial equity strategic planning for the organization. In this work, #InvestBLK is providing pathways to include trauma-informed practices, racial equity, workplace culture development, branding/marketing, and fundraising diversification, among other focus areas.
#InvestBLK is developing a documentary and journal series about Philadelphia’s Black History to support KIPP’s history curriculum.
Founder, Dennis Maurice Dumpson is hired on retainer as an advisor to the organization’s CEO, COO, and Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
#InvestBLK is led the community outreach for Lincoln’s admissions department, focusing on social media, traditional media, and one-to-one marketing between parents, college preparatory organizations, and students. This work was supported by our senior consultant of practice, Dreena Whitfield of WhitPR.
#InvestBLK supported their newly formed diversity, equity, inclusion, and access office in its early stages of development.
